Hello, I'm Brenda
I am a photographer who just loves birds.
I grew up watching the birds in my backyard, including looking through a Peterson's Field Guide with my mom to try to identify the birds we were seeing. While my interest waned as I grew up and went away to college, it came back when I finally got my own backyard and hung up feeders.
My passion for birds and photography took off in 2020, when I had time to really learn my backyard birds. I also started hiking a lot more and wanted to capture images of the birds I was seeing on the trail to make sure I was identifying them correctly. One thing led to another, and mere snapshots wouldn't cut it anymore. Every time I set out to photograph birds, I not only increase my skill at photography, but I also get to connect intimately with nature. That connection and that moment is what I hope to share with you through my photographs.
